Starting later this month, all students will be granted access to LoLA (Log-On Louisiana) a powerful new online tool that will allow you to completely manage your college career. LoLA will be your 24/7, one stop resource for the upcoming Fall semester.
You will use LoLA to:
1. Monitor your financial aid application
2. Register for classes
3. Review your class schedule
4. View your work study or student worker schedule
5. Check on important upcoming dates, and

Culinary Day at CATC
On April 4, 2011, CATC hosted its first ever "Culinary Day" at the Baton Rouge Campus. In partnership with East Baton Rouge, West Feliciana, Ascension, and St. James parish high schools, as well as the Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA). Dow donates $1 million to CATC Westside Campus
Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) Foundation accepted a $1 million donation from the Dow Chemical Company to support the construction of the new Capital Area Technical College (CATC) Westside Campus.
The $1 million grant by Dow to the LCTCS Foundation is the largest donation ever made to the Foundation and will support the development of an Industrial Maintenance curriculum in Iberville Parish.

CATC diploma for apprenticeship programs
This is the very first diploma of its kind since 1941 and it will be utilized by other programs such as pipefitter, carpenter, ironworker, millwright, sheet-metal, and barbering. This new diploma is sponsored by the National Electrical Contractors Association, Baton Rouge Chapter and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 995, and Capital Area Technical College.
